Great story! I had a friend that was stationed in England during WWII and was an aircraft mechanic. Most did not beleive his stories but he was always able to prove the truth to me. He said he learned to fly Mosquitos while on the base and showed me a picture taken from another plane at altitude of him clearly piloting a Mosquito. He went on to be an aircraft mechanic during Israel's fight for statehood. He led an interesting life as an inventor of some note. Quite a character and I miss him.
