So the salesman had ESP and knew he had it sold within 24 hours or maybe he meant they would send the truck back to the other location within 24 hours. I wouldn't deal with a smart mouth like that either. I don't expect anyone to hold anything for me if someone else comes in ready to pay or sign on the dotted line but I won't be railroaded into buying before I have decided to buy, if I miss the deal then its my fault.
