Hi DieselTech and thanks for the reply. I am not a mechanic by any means, but I did remove the pump after finding out it wasn't pumping fuel and that's when I discovered the water in the pump which, of course, as a result of water in the fuel tank. If anyone around my home town in Western N.C. knew anything about trouble shooting or rebuilding a fuel pump like this, I would have them take it on, but, me, reading and listening to others on this subject, tell me if the head turns smoothly with a screwdriver, most likely, and I emphasize the term "most likely", it isn't frozen and will work after the new shaft is installed. I am open to other areas to check for a problem, but I'll doing it blindly because, as I stated, there is no one close to me who would know what to look for. Thanks for your input on this and I'll listen to any suggestions you may add. Alan
