I bought my farm 40 years ago. At that time and for at least 10 years, there was a guy that had a horse drawn single moldboard for the local town folks garden plots. I watched him and his well trained horse meticulously instrument the process.
Geez, thinking about what it meant to roll the soil, one blade at a time, walking the whole way over lumpy ground then how do you level it, and how do you plant it, how do you cultivat it (hoe), how you harvest it (scythe) how do you bale it (you don't you stack it).................weeeeeee I came through the chute at the right time in history.
