If it really is an 8n the serial number would start with 8n and be followed by a rather large number as many of them were produced. They were made from late 1947 until late 1952, so if you have a 1953 Ford it would be the NAA, which for 1953 was known as the Jubilee. Quite a different tractor from an 8n as it had an ohv motor, live hydraulics, and a lot more power.
