ATF is the answer bill, I have used that trick for years on engines that have sat for years. I get old Lincoln welders in here on a regular basis that have sat, some for over 20 years! I pull the plugs and pour as much atf as I can get in each cylinder, put the plugs back in and walk away. leave it for weeks or as long as I can, the longer the better. i'll then pull the plugs, crank it over with rags over the plug holes, clean up the mess and reinstall the plugs. put fresh premium fuel in, take it OUTSIDE and fire it up. stand back and watch the smoke show, and bill don't be wearing your sunday best when you hit the starter button :lol:
