I'll bet that pretty much every dog that ever bit someone was just as nice as can be, loving everyone, awesome with kids, without a bad bone in its body, until the day it suddenly mauled a kid. Very few people will keep a dog that is supposedly "bad from birth". I loved my daughter's dog, it was like a family member until it just out of the blue one day bit her son.
