Drilled many acres with a John Deere Van Brunt 11 run drill, usually pulled an old double drum Dunham cultipacker behind it, good load for '41 Farmall H. We planted wheat in September and October (after the fly-free date) and oats with clover or alfalfa seeding in the spring, usually in April or early May. (Never planted corn before May 15th) usually Dekalb varieties like 404a, 458 and 459. (South central Michigan).
