good morning brown swiss, a question brown swiss do's the brother your selling your half of the herd to work with you each day on the milking? I think every family has issues like your going through. when my dad passed away all 7 of us kids came home and after the funeral we all gathered at the house, (place was sold) and we went through the house and barns cleaning up, we where each supposed to take the items that mom and dad said where supposed to go to us. I thought I knew my brothers and sisters pretty well (not) I don't think it was 15 minutes and the fur was flying!! the 4 oldest thought every thing belonged to them, after an hour of trying to clean up(the reason we where there!) and listening to the cat fight I just quietly got in my truck and left. reading your opening post I think your making a wise decision, with the money from the cows and the job at the mine you will have a nice nest egg to go shopping for your own place, that you have the control and say over what happens.
