Eldon that first chopper looks like a Gehl. We had one like it for a few years. In the last few years we had it I pitched round bales into it by hand to grind hay for the stock cows. I figured I had more muscle than money in those days so I did it that way instead of hiring a tub grinder. I quartered the bales with a chain saw and then pitched away. The chain saw worked OK in alfalfa, not so good in grass hay. It was a good way to warm up on a cold winter day.
