Back in 1948 I had just gotten used to cultivating corn about 4 inches tall for my uncle with his ''41 Farmall H and mounted 2 row model 221 "swing gang" cultivators, I was almost 14 years old.....So along comes a local IH salesman with a new Cub with cultivators on a trailer behind his '37 Bulck for us to try out. Uncle made 2 rounds with the Cub back and forth on the field I was working and then stops me and says you gotta try this thing, it's really nice. I was kinda skeptical about it, but I had to do it. Well, it was okay, but shoot, you couldn't anything done. The IH guy came back in about 3 hours and Uncle told him it was no sale...."My hired man doesn't like it".....Bye, bye, Cub,never ran one again....
