I have wanted a Cub as far back as I remember and decided at one point to get one. Went to a Mennonite consignment auction specifically to look at and bid bid on one. Got there pretty early in the morning and there was an old Mexican Mennonite gentleman sitting on it gripping the steering wheel. Through the day I would go back to look, but there he was, still sitting. Finally it went on the block and nobody could outbid the man sitting in the seat, it went high for a non restored cub (3500), but it was an auction so fair play. I asked another bidder what would make it so special that the man would pay so much. Answer made sense I guess, the guy sitting in the seat already owned it, it was his daily driver since he never had a drivers license. His family browbeat him into putting it in the auction to get him off the road, didn�t work it seems.
