Will work on any two way valve (actually they are referred to as four way valves but we all call them two ways) but differently on different make valves. All make valves will allow return of oil back through the cylinder and hose. The difference is that if valve cannot be set for single action or have a float positon, the hydraulic system will go on relief valve pressure when lowering the cylinder. Almost all IH tractors valves either can be set to single action or have a float positon that should be used for lowering a single action cylinder.
