You can make them run straight,,To start with wire wheel your clamps clean,,along with the bolts,,(use new bolts and nuts if you can) start your bolts even (like with a full nut),,give them a few turns each in a cris-cross pattern,,as they get firm lay a block of wood down beside the wheel and rotate the wheel to see how straight it is,,I use a tire crayon and let it rub where it is too close,, then tighten the one where the crayon did not rub a bit more,,every now and then as you tighten hit the clamps with a hammer to let then work into place,,this method will let you get the straight.
