I still don't understand how CL makes a profit. There is now a listing fee on dealer listings, which is why a lot of small-time junk jockeys switched all their ads to "by owner". I'd like to see a listing fee on all listings, as well as a fee to top-post an item. Maybe offer 5 ads free per month, but charge after that. It would help clear up all the people who abuse the service.
Failing that, I have found it extremely convenient to hit the red X button at the end of the description. It deletes the ad, and any future top-postings in you browser.
