I use the NAPA oil pressure switch on all 3 I've converted on the farm, one I used the switch for the hour meter, which is an oil pressure switch. I've tried the 1 wire, and the thing they don't mention (because it doesn't impact automotive/street rod type folks) is that the rotor has to spin up to around 1500/1600 hundred to energize. On my long stroke Case tractors, that pushing the governor setting! I don't want to have to rev to the gov, my engine to get the alt to kick in. I changed that out to a 3 wire also................
