1000 amp rating is meaningless and misleading. Jump starter pack rated a 1000 "peak" amps is often really rated at around 250 cold-cranking-amps. I suggest you only buy something that gives real specs - like the size of the battery and power in CA or CCA. Likely something rated over 2000 "peak" amps. E.g., a JNC660 is rated 1700 amps and its real rating is 425 cranking amps which is as low as you want to go.
I have a Duracell Powerepack 600 with no misleading hyped "peak" ratings. Has a 27 amp-hour battery and I have tested it at 500 cranking amps. I suppose with the more usual marketing BS, it would be called a "4000 amp" pack.
