I watched one drop dead in a stanchion one time. She stood right on the end by the milkhouse door. We were down toward the other end milking and I watched her feet slip off in to the gutter. She flailed a few times like she was trying to get her footing then she just laid down. One of the boys was headed that way and I told him to kick her and get her up out of there. Too late. She was dead.
