I believe this is where the engine is making oil as he says the engine makes oil while it sets up. If it made oil while running I would check under the valve cover. To replace the seals shut the fuel off. Time the pump in the timing "window". Wire the throttle in the wide open position so as to keep the govenor weights from falling out.{VERY IMPORTANT) Remove pump and place in a vise so you can get leverage on the shaft. Grab the shaft with some good Visegrips and pull the shaft out.Note that the end of the shaft will have a dot on the end. Align this dot when reinstalling. Your local fuel shop will have the seals in stock for replacement- P/N 10453. Better yet, let them rebuild it or let them change the seals for you. Let a pro fix it right.
