I Have a New Holland 1725 tractor in live in PA. We had a pretty cold, cold stretch where temps were averaging single digits for more than a week. I started my tractor and was letting it idle and after a few minutes it croaked and groaned and then shut off. I suspected the diesel fuel had gelled. I let it alone for a week and the temperature has now been in the 50's, which should be warm enough thaw the diesel. I checked the fuel going into the fuel filter and it is fine. The tractor still won't start. It turns over fine and acts like it wants to start, but simply won't. I have the battery on the charger to ensure it does not get drained from my starting attempts. Should I give it a shot of starting fluid? What are my next steps?
