Guy used to post on here called "State of Jefferson". Hasn't been on in a couple years.
The northern Californians have been trying to break off since before WWII. They wanna call their new state - you guessed it - Jefferson.
Interesting reading if you want. There was a neat map I saw a number of years ago where the state lines were redrawn to keep 50 states, but equalize the population per state. Looks quite different. Frankly all state lines are just that - lines.
