Bryce something iv'e used for years on the decks of my trailers to keep the wood from rotting or splitting is used burnt transmission fluid. I get it from my local mechanic or any tranny shop, penetrates the wood better than anything else iv'e used and I use a big paint tray and roller to apply it. the more you put on the better.
