When my buddy's uncle passed, he left his farm to the local community college. They have rented out the 240 acres, about 210 irrigated, all in one parcel. The auction was last week, three year lease went for $440 per acre per year. Previous three-year lease had been to local vegetable farmer for over $700/A/yr, but corn/beans likely only crops going forward.
