According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, there are very few people in prison convicted for only possession. The ones in Prison convicted of possession usually pled the other charges away. Things like violent assaults, weapons charges etc. That is one big lie spread by people wanting to undermine our government. I personally favor decriminalizing pot, at least for medical purposes. I know a number of people with spinal injuries who get relief only from thc.
