Blew another hydraulic line on a different truck today. Luckily it was an aeroquip fitting. I don't know how many of you have seen these, but they are very handy even tho they are expensive. They are a 2 part fitting thay screws onto the hose. In this case I just re-used the old fitting byt taking it apart and cutting a bit off the hose and re-installing it.
Just screw the outer piece on the hose.
Then screw the inner piece in.
If course its easier to say than to do, but they can save buying a new hose. They are available with most types of fittings and hose sizes. And unlike those clamp together fittings these woek and hold up well.
