I have a 7500/12500 Generac brought around 2002, I needed a starter had no problem getting one cheap off ebay... I used Generac's part number from the service manual replacement starters were available all over the place so it must be a common engine.
Long story the original starter got lost it was not set up correct from the get go. The replacement came with all new hardware to set/shim it up I wonder WHY... As soon as I hit the starter I said sum'n taint right wheres that shim package....
