That is So Cool about the history of JD Sellers chess set,,.. and Yes , I Love chess,.,.and Chekers, i usually challenge the gran kids at the cracker barrel,..//. this yr I played "Abe Lincoln "at Lanesville Heritage Weekend ,. and we locked up the board twice consquetively .I cant recall ever doing that,? When we used to play the back seat against the front seat checker games . we had a cloth set on the console of my double cab 95 dodge cummins and we would play while driving to Florida, it was the kids against the parents ,LOL ,.That clothe set had a lot of history,. Before those road trips and before children ,.. just for fun and frolic , down at the lake , i used to play the" 1st wife to be "in strip chess, and checkers ,... That was 42 yrs ago,.the game went sorta like this ,.... she or i had a choice to give up a captured piece or a article of clothing ,,. in the latter case ,the capture would be made,,.if she chose to remove something she would keep her man and have the option to " FLY move "that captured pc anywhere safe on the board , as long as it did not endanger another man for immediate capture ,.,.It was kinda complicated rules ,and goofy ,., but we didnt care ,.. it was just fun making new rules and teasing "as we went along ,and drinking some homemade wine .. and Yes Guys , ,. You gotta let HER win ,. so play stupid ,so in the end ,although She lost some clothes ,but . She wins and is stuck with a boyfriend not wearing much. LOL
