Me and dad quit talking for a year. Details arn't important but it was both being hard headed. Wouldn't go to family events I knew he would be at, etc. One day he finally made the first effort to talk to me and ever since we have talked or texted something every day. Not something lovey dovey maybe a funny picture being sent around or a "Did you hear about...". I agree with the others on here. Make amends with him. You don't have to be the best of buds but you only have one. My best advice is to just go up and say "Hi Dad" and act like you've never had problems. I know it's hard but it takes two and likely Dad's willing to make amends aswell. No apologies just amends.
