Thanks for the reply. It's an awkward situation. We bought an H for $700 knowing that it had transmission problems. Later we took it to a "shade tree mechanic" that we thought was dependable. To help him out, we paid him in advance to expedite the job.
Long story short, two years later the tractor is still in two pieces. After countless promises to "finish it this weekend" we've had to file a claim before the judge. We're not sure that it will matter, but just in case the judge asks, we want to be prepared to answer that question.
Actually, since he didn't finish the job, the judge may ask how many hours just to take it apart.
