Hello Everyone, first post. Bought a 1940 Farmall H recently, Turned steering sector gear 180 deg. to see how well it helped the loose steering. Seems it improved it by about half. Problem is I need a new nut / retainer that tightens down on top of the steering sector gear. Guess another way to ask my question. What is the thread count on the top of the upper pivot bolster. My old retaining nut is damaged, missed the socket I placed inside the nut while pounding the steering sector gear loose. WARNING Do Not hit the nut you are using to protect the shaft threads, with an eight pound hammer. Not able to find anyone who carries one. If you do please let me know. If not, I need the thread count to research the proper tap. Thanks
