One local contractor just got prison time for his role running a ring of thieves. People would steal merchandise from Lowes stores across the Midwest, then bring it here and be paid cash. The contractor and several associates would then return the stolen goods to Lowes, for which they received store credit. They then used the store credit for supplies for their construction jobs, which paid them back more than retail.
