Yes , this happens due to the end of the shifter getting wore down and having the end round over . This will cause it to jump between two shift rails while moving from one gear to the other. To get it unstuck just remove the shift tower and you will see where your problem is and use a large screw driver or pry bar and make the rails all line up in the neutral gate. Next to solve this problem we weld up and grind them back nice and square so they fit like they are suppose to .
