I don't know about "marketing", but when my brother and I were growing up on the farm, we were REQUIRED to back a 4 wheeled hay wagon down a 15 ft wide path, in a pole barn to unload hay. It could not be more than 6 inches away from the stack and it best not take very long to do it! Dad's philosophy was": you cant say you can drive a tractor until you can back a 4 wheel wagon at least that far.....then he proceeded to show us.... Lots of years later he obtained a wide front end tractor.....and it was indeed harder to do. Just sayin'.
