We had a 1/2 Blue Healer, 1/4 Border Collie & 1/4 German Shepard. She would herd and drive cattle on command . Loved riding on the tractor or in a vehicle . She cleaned the ground hogs out of our farm and the surrounding farms.
An ankle biter by nature and wanted to nip the feet of people getting into a vehicle .
Rather timid and excitable as a puppy and would whiz on the floor. She tolerated children but did not like them.
After our other dog the kids loved and played with, a Golden Retriever died . The Blue Healer decided it was her additional duty to let the kids pet her and play ball for 2-3 minutes then she would sneak off.
At age 13 she wasn’t feeling or looking well all of a sudden for a few days . I came home for the weekend , petted and talked to her for a while then she laid down and died .
