This doesn't make sense to me. Anything I find on my property that isn't supposed to be there is up to my disposal. That said, I would remove it ONLY if currently unoccupied. I don't normally carry a gun with me, and would rather not use one even as a means of last resort, so if I ever saw anyone armed on my place, I'd call the Sheriff's Dept and then do a little photo-documenting while waiting for them to get out here.
Fortunately, now I have enough cameras out and about that I don't have to risk my personal safety trying to document anyone. There are VERY few spots on my property that cannot be seen by at least one camera, and someone would still get caught on camera getting to those spots.
One year I was standing on a minimum maintenance road talking with someone. I had a pair of binoculars and looked down the road as I thought I saw something far, far away. It was another hunter, not actively hunting as this person had NO orange on.....yet he was carrying a rifle. As I watched him, he raised his rifle and watched me as well. That wasn't cool!! It's an unsettling feeling having some stranger during rifle season glassing you down through their scope, especially when they weren't even legal to be hunting! That was one of two very crazy years for deer hunters around here; groups of people trying to flush out deer while someone on the roadway would drive back and forth waiting, using 2-way radios when they were not allowed (they are allowed now), trespassing, and even shooting a deer out the window of a moving vehicle!!
