As someone else mentioned, with "classics" you need to have an appraisal. If you have collision insurance for the appraised value, that would also give you some extra leverage to support your claim. If you are like most people who don't carry collision insurance on a old vehicle because "it's no worth as much as the deductible", you can't expect much.
The power train may have some salvage value, check with some salvage yards. I doubt there is much demand or value for the 30 year old front body parts anymore, the truck body will likely be crushed and shredded.
