While at the auction today I saw an unusual Oliver 1650. I talked to the owner a little bit. He told me that the first Oliver FWA tractors had a hydraulic drive instead of the mechanical drive like the later models. He stated that the hydraulic drive units did not hold up very well so Oliver went to the mechanical one. He is from around Reedsburg WI. Nice fellow.
