McCormick 3 bar enclosed gear made in late 30's to early 40's. Not many of them made as at that time McCormic started making the 4 bar that did a better job of raking so not many 3 bars were sold and discontinued about start of WW2. Think they started the 3 bar enclosed gear in 1939 and brought out the 4 bar in 1940. I still have part of one here I got in a deal of 5 rakes but it was only a parts rake for the other 4 bar units I got with it and some of the parts fit the 3 bar open gear rake-tedder of the second style built untill 1960. If I had my books handy I could give you exact ending year for that rake.
