The 60% effective is what I don't understand that to me means 40 out of 100 people that get the shot will still get Shingles.But I also have read that in the general population one out of 3 people will get Shingles in their lifetime.That is 33 people getting Shingles out of 100.If both are true statements then a person is more likely to get Shingles that gets the shot.Also with a live virus if you didn't carry the virus originally once you take a live virus you'll have it after that in your system.
