I have a 1219 (just a little newer with a 9 foot cut). It has been a good machine. I have about 60 acres of hay. If the 1207 is like the 1219, it will have a wobble box drive for the knife. Look it over for any leaks and look where it mounts to the machine for any welding. Again, if like the 1219, the rollers are driven by a gearbox and u-joint set up. A lot of parts that could potentially be worn out and expensive. With any mower conditioner that has rubber rollers, look them over closely for cracks and separation. I agree about Hesston being a good choice. For a small amount of hay, an old IH 990 was not a bad machine and can be found pretty cheap.
