Anyone remember the Franz bypass oil filter that used a roll of toilet paper as filter media ? I used them years ago and they would do a remarkable filtering job. When the oil started to darken from carbon and other material, change the toilet paper cartridge and the oil color would get remarkably lighter. They are still in business. I seem to remember their having a fine screen to prevent bits of toilet paper getting back into the engine. If cotton waste was the intended filter media. maybe the right size toilet paper roll would work in it ?
