My family switched to Medi-Share. It's a Christian health sharing ministry. I pay around $310/month now for our family of 4. The money goes to a credit union account in my name. They draw it out as needed and send it to cover bills. We looked at 3 different versions of this kind of thing. They all had pros and cons. I forget now why we picked medishare. I want to say it had unlimited coverage but I'm not positive anymore. We don't go to the Dr much, so so far everything has been paid with cash. They always knock down the bill for cash. But we just had our 2nd kid a few months ago so I'm curious to see what happens with that bill.
Had blucross before that for years. It was going to be $900/month $8000 deductible when I cancelled it. And that was a year and 1 kid ago.
