We're in a suburban neighborhood. Used to have a lot of kids (150-200), but only 2 out of about 30 houses have kids anymore. Kid-less parents don't want to be bothered, so very few porch lights on in the neighborhood, so even passers-by drive past the neighborhood.
We still hang a dozen kerosene lamps from the trees, have a big campfire, pass out candy to the couple dozen kids who do make it down. Pudding shots for the adults. Usually a nice Fall evening, other than last night it was 37 degrees here in SW Michigan.
