Nice job. Rustoleum is pretty good stuff. Ten years ago or so I painted a rusty old water tank with black Rustoleum. The plan was to make it look good for only a few years. I did no surface prep whatsoever, I shot the paint over the rust, dirt, spider nests, everything. Today it still looks pretty good with very little rust showing. It’s not a fair comparison to your rims though because this tank wasn’t exposed to cal chlor.
