Decide what you are going to use the tractor for For a rotor tiller-- 3-point and a ground speed of less than 1 MPH. A creeper gear is good to have. Some with creeper gear will have a minimum ground speed of .2 MPH. Hydro-stats as well. For row crops-- Adjustable front and rear wheel tread spacing. 40" - 60" would cover most garden row spacing. For narrow row spacing narrow rear tires, 11.2 or less. Think of implements you plan to use, planter, cultivator etc. Some models of Kubota from the 1970s have 3-point, minimum ground speed of 8 MPH, good range of wheel tread spacing.
