Well since I tend to be politically incorrect I use a Russian SKS s my primary deer. I also carry a 44mag as a side arm and have shoot deer with it also. As for bow hunting I have used a Crossbow even since I had my back surgery back in 1996 rifle and have shoot a good number with that bow. Has 5 reticle scope on it so the center line is 10 yards and each line lower add ano0ther 10 yards so it is sited in up to 50 yards My SKS also has a 4X25 scope on it and the wife's SKS has a 6X32 scope on it
