I shoot a Winchester mod 88, 308 cal. It's a hand me down from my father, but the lever works well for me as I'm left handed. My longest shot has been <200yds, I'm not confident beyond that. I shot one a few years ago with my Ruger Blackhawk 357, But I'm not confident beyond about 40 yds with that. I shot it at about 25 yds and it went about 50 and fell over dead, same as the 308. My wife shoots a 243 and has good luck with that, she has shot the biggest deer in out party, 217 field dressed. Our son has a 7mm and a 300wsm, both very long range rifles. With the new power line ROW we have one stand where you could shoot 4 miles!
