One of my fall/winter projects will be building some heated space in the pole barn. I’ve been plugging the gaps in the seams of the siding with stainless steel wool to keep the bugs and mice out. I haven’t figured out how to fill the small gaps where the siding sheets meet the wainscot trim. I’ve read caulking can cause the siding to rust. Has anyone figured out how to stop the rain and snow from weeping through this seam? When I get this issue resolved I’m planning to put up poly sheeting to act as a barrier and protect the insulation in the stud construction
