Good advice, oldtanker.
Another thing is: YOU pay the insurance company yourself... don't write a check out to your agent.
Story similar to Steve@Advance: Years ago a sweet, smiling little ol' lady did tax prep and sold insurance (life, home or auto). She told people they could write the checks out to her and that she'd pay the premiums to the company each month. But she was pocketing the money instead. My cousin and her husband had "bought" a home insurance policy from her... so if they'd had a claim, they'd have been up a creek without a paddle. They didn't find out about it until after the woman got busted.
We bought a small life insurance policy from her. She had made the same offer to us... but my then young husband wisely said, "No, we'll pay the company directly, ourselves."

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
