The 65 gallon sprayer I've been working on off and on for the last month or so.
It started when I bought the tank on an auction for $10.00. (Oerscheln's sells the same tank new for $79.00) Most of the angle iron I used, I already had. The wheels came off of a defunct garden tractor. I did buy the pump, square tubing for the boom, and the nozzles and hoses. Haven't added up, but I have something less than $200 in it.
Anyway, my wife sprays the biggest share of three acres of house lawns and other areas with a 25 gallon sprayer with a 7' swath. She's been wanting a bigger sprayer 'cause she has to reload several times with a 25 gallon. I built a 10.5 foot spring loaded folding boom so with the spray fan this will make about a 12' swath. Four 140 degree nozzles figure to 2.4 gpm, so I put a 3.8 gpm pump on it. The pump has a built-in 45 pound pressure switch.
